Well, weren’t we lucky? With July 4th being in the middle of the week this year, we ended up with not one but two holiday weekends. It was the perfect way to enjoy the beautiful summer weather, kick back, and relax with family and friends.
I saw this cool vintage American flag over at Country Living. Did you know that, before 1912, there were not set guidelines for our country’s flag, other than that there should be the red and white stripes to represent the thirteen colonies, and some white stars on a blue background? That’s why some flags from that era have the stars in different configurations and patterns. You can read more about it here.
